Sourced directly from Yasuharu Maeno, a master blender of level-9 Chashi rank at the historic Maruyasu tea producer in Shiga Prefecture, this ceremonial-grade matcha represents a refined expression of Japanese tea craftsmanship with over 140 years of heritage. Fuyou is a carefully composed blend of Saemidori and Asahi cultivars cultivated within Shiga's renowned tea-growing region, east of Kyoto. This matcha delivers a sweet and luxurious character with subtle notes reminiscent of marshmallow root and butter, making it equally suited to traditional whisking or the more concentrated preparation styles that showcase its layered complexity.
