Sourced from Shogyokuen in Kagoshima, Japan, this ceremonial-grade matcha celebrates the lunar heritage of the classic Kaguyahime folktale through a specially curated batch of saemidori cultivar leaves. The young tea plants yield a distinctly rich umami character paired with an exceptional creaminess that sets this naturally grown matcha apart from conventional organic varieties. Notes of subtle sweetness complement the velvety mouthfeel, making it equally suited for traditional usucha or the fuller expression of koicha preparations.
